Reykjavik Downtown Hotel

We recently stayed at a hotel in Reykjavik for a short sightseeing trip. Despite some minor inconveniences, like a small bathroom and lack of staff presence, the location of the hotel was excellent - just a short stroll away from various attractions and amenities. The owner was friendly and accommodating, making up for any shortcomings we encountered.

Great location near iconic landmarks, easy walk to main areas. Rooms are basic but clean. Some minor issues like small bathrooms and thin pillows, but staff is friendly. Value for price, good for short stays. Breakfast is simple but satisfying. A decent choice for budget-conscious travelers.

I loved it, it was excellent. Inexpensive breakfast and other services were good.

We didn't have time, so stayed here only for 3 nights, but everything was very good. Appreciated how the a twin room with the balcony was arranged when we arrived.

Omg, the location of this hotel is ! i could see the church from my balcony 🌈. The staff was super friendly, but the rooms were a bit basic. Only downside. 😊

Fairly clean, great value hotel, the location was ideal so close to the church, great places to eat and a main bus stop. The bedrooms were fairly good. They provided lots of fabulous choices for breakfast that was included.

The location was fantastic, just steps away from the main church and a convenient supermarket. The staff were helpful and accommodating, even letting me wait in another guest house when I arrived in the middle of the night. The room was decent, with useful kitchenette facilities and a good shower. However, the noise from the street can be disruptive, especially with early morning garbage collection. Despite the underwhelming cleanliness and maintenance of the place, it served its purpose for a budget-friendly stay in Reykjavik.

It was a characterful base for one night, had really good time. The staff were cooperative and efficient, were waiting for us in the friendly reception.

A hip new property, fairly clean, unbeatable location for Reykjavik as it's close to shops and restaurants. Reykjavik 101 district definitely deserves your time and attention: D

The hotel is in a central location, close to attractions and dining options. The beds were cozy, the room spacious with useful amenities, and the check-in clerk was welcoming. However, the lift is out of order, and issues with cleanliness and TV functionality were noted.

The location was spot-on, right in the heart of the city with a nice view of the street below and a fridge in the room which was handy. The room had heaters and felt safe, with a friendly owner who let us stay a few extra hours past checkout time. The only downside was the room size, a bit cramped for two people, but it didn't bother us much 🔑.

The location of this hotel is unbeatable, just a minute's walk from the iconic Hallgrimskirkja and two minutes from bus stop 8. It is also situated on a bustling tourist street with plenty of great dinner options. The price of the room was excellent, perfect for solo travelers on a budget. The bed was comfortable and the room itself was clean and well-maintained.

There were a few drawbacks. there was a lack of parking available, which could be troublesome for those traveling with a car.

This hotel is conveniently located right opposite the beautiful cathedral in the heart of the city. It is close to all the major attractions and just a short walk from the church on the hill. The bus stop is also nearby, making it easy to explore the city. The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and well-equipped bathrooms. The staff is friendly and helpful, providing excellent service. Breakfast is included and there are facilities like a microwave and fridge in the rooms.

One downside of the hotel is that there is no lift, which may be inconvenient for some guests.

For our Christmas stay, we really liked the location of this hotel. It was conveniently situated near the famous church and the bus stop where all the tour buses picked up guests. We were also just a short walk away from the shopping area. Another advantage was that there was a convenient store right next door, making it easy for us to grab any essentials we needed.

There were a few things that we didn't quite enjoy. the wifi almost didn't work at all, quite frustrating.

The location was excellent, central to everything. Mr. Alberto, the manager, was very friendly and helpful, providing us with all the information we needed to explore the city. He made sure our room was ready even though we arrived before check-in time. The hotel is close to the city center but the street is quiet. We even saw the Northern Lights from our room's balcony. it was a great experience, and Mr. Alberto made us feel at home in the hotel.
